David Cazzulino

Great Barrier Reef Campaigner, Australian Marine Conservation Society Queensland

David Cazzulino is a Great Barrier Reef Campaigner with the Australian Marine Conservation Society (AMCS).

Having grown up in Cairns and gaining first-hand experience of the local and economic impacts of the Great Barrier Reef to the tourism industry, David can talk about the Reef’s ecological significance, and how climate change is the single biggest threat to the future of the Great Barrier Reef.

In his role at AMCS, David actively campaigns against coal expansion and speaks about the urgent need to transition to renewable energy. Most notably, David has built a growing movement of Reef advocates who are committed to stopping the largest coal mine in Australia’s history as part of the #StopAdani campaign.
