Public Health Doctor New South Wales
Dr Kate Charlesworth is a public health doctor in Sydney. Dr Charlesworth previously worked as a hospital doctor, before becoming interested in ‘bigger picture’ public health issues such as obesity and smoking, and then the biggest health issue of all: the climate emergency.
Dr Charlesworth is the Sustainability Lead at South Eastern Sydney Local Health District and she is passionate about leading a low carbon sustainable healthcare system whilst tying the links between climate change and community health.
Dr Charlesworth is also a member of Doctors for the Environment Australia, the Climate and Health Alliance, the Royal Australasian College of Physicians Climate change and Health group, and a Research Fellow at the Centre for Policy Development.
