Wendy Cohen is the CEO of Farmers for Climate Action (FCA), an alliance of farmers, agricultural leaders and rural Australians working to ensure farmers are a key part of the solution to climate change.
Growing up in rural NSW, Wendy has regularly experienced extreme weather conditions such as dust storms, bushfires, droughts and floods, and witnessed in recent years how these conditions have become more frequent and intense due to climate change.
Wendy was previously the CEO of the Country Education Foundation of Australia, where she gained deep insights into the issues facing farmers and regional Australians, and where she also fought for better education in rural and regional areas.
Now, in her role at the FCA, Wendy is the leader of the movement to support farmers to build climate and energy literacy. She advocates for climate solutions to manage the risks climate change poses to the agriculture sector, and supports the voices of farmers to ensure they are heard by their communities, their industries and their political leaders
